
Bodija Deanery Inaugurates CYON Deanery Executives
Bodija Deanery had the Swearing-in of the Newly Elected Bodija Deanery CYON EXCOS on Sunday 16th February at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Agbowo, Ibadan.
The Executives are: Obinna Sylvester – President; Ikechukwu Gregory - Vice President; Onyinyechi Obia - General Secretary; Apu Margaret - Financial Secretary; Ogar Theresa - Assistant General Secretary; Nwabuike Calistus – Treasurer; Egwim Nicholas - P.R.O; Afolayan Funmilayo - Welfare
Gbolagade Temitope Agnes - D.O.S. and Akyin Thomas – Provost.
At the Mass of the swearing-in, the Dean of Bodija Deanery, Rev. Fr. Joseph Akinbinu encouraged and advised the executives to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities, faithfully and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Catholic Church and the CYON.
He further encouraged the Church to pray for them and support them as they carry out this assignment for the next four years.
The Assistant Parish Priest of St. Thomas Agbowo, Rev. Fr. Aimé Bienvenu acknowledged the efforts and good work of the Dean, Rev. Fr. Joseph Akinbinu in the Bodija Deanary and especially with the Youth.
He further stated that the Bodija Deanery is the first CYON Deanery to have her elected CYON Excos, they are also the most registered Youths at the Archdiocese Leadership Seminar happening on the 22nd of February, 2025.
Their First CYON Deanery Meeting was held after the Mass. The Bodija Deanery CYON Chaplain Rev. Fr. Christopher Olupooye addressed the EXCOS and Councillors present. He asked for their corporation to achieve set goals. He added that it's not going to be an easy tasks but with God's strength, grace and support from the Church, everything will be easy for them.
