The Life in the Spirit Seminar is an annual spiritual exercise organised by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria (CCRN),  OAU Chapter. The seminar is an 8-week program that equips participants spiritually through activities like, daily Bible study and meditation, counselling, confession, deliverance sessions, evangelization and finally commissioning.

The participants of the 2025 Life in the Spirit Seminar were commissioned by the Chaplain, Rev. Fr Michael Akinsode. The commissioning service began with a prayer of self to the Lord in service, where participants expressed their willingness to work in God's vineyard while asking God to grant them the grace to bear fruits that would last. Then, the participants were marked with salt on their tongues while standing with lit candles. This gesture signified that they are now the salt and light of the earth.

Father Michael advised them to continue to be obedient to the Church and to uphold all that they have gained during the seminar. They shared the light from their candles to the members of the Church signifying their place as commissioned members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria and the Church.

The seminar ended with a Thanksgiving where participants thanked God for enkindling His light in them and making them the light of the world
