Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted - This beatitude does not mean that God wants us to be sad; rather, it means we must have a compassionate heart that moves us to offer support and mercy to those who are suffering.

It also means the blessedness of those who search for comfort in God in their sorrows, due to loneliness, sickness, disappointment, guilt, loss of a dear one, endurance in longsuffering.
