The representatives of Nurses in Ibadan Province ... Ibadan Archdiocese, Ekiti, Osogbo, Ilorin, Oyo and Ondo Dioceses, had an Health Education Programme on Menstrual Hygiene for rural girls and rural women. This is an initiative of the International body of the association.

The programme took place on the 15th January, 2025 at Ayegun Community Grammar School in Ayegun, Ibadan. Oyo state.

It was well received by both teachers and pupils. Health talk was given which was centered on what Menstruation is, what to expect and what to do before, during and after commencements, different things that can be used, how to use and how to cater for each.

They also talked about the need to maintain good personal hygiene before, during and after the Period.

The Program was rounded up with free distribution of sanitary Pads and cleaning agent.

About 550 rural girls and 50 rural women benefitted from the outreach.
