THE MAIDEN CHRISTMAS CAROLS OF CATHOLIC CHAPLAINCY OF SMLT & CAICONS, OLUYORO OKE- OFA, IBADAN

The Chaplaincy carol held on 8th Dec, 2024 at Oluyoro with the theme “DISPELLING THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT.” The Christmas Carol activities commenced on Friday 6th December, 2024 having the Chaplaincy presenting gifts to the patient in the various wards of the hospital with Father Christmas to bring Joy to the people.

The Health Coordinator, who is also the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Patrick Olu Odediran in his welcome address admonished all present to surrender all to Jesus, and appreciated the members from different religious groups for coming together in unity for the Carol.

In his Christmas message, he advised all present to fill the good things that are lacking in our life and fill it with Love, the reason why Jesus was born and given to the world. Among those who graced the Carol Celebration was The Archbishop of Archdiocese of Ibadan, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin who advised members of the Chaplaincy to be self-disciplined in all areas. “Learn to say sorry, when you are wrong, which fosters unity.” His Grace, also commended all members for a well presented Carol to pronounce Jesus Christ within and outside. The opening and closing prayer for the Carol of 7 lessons was said by Rev. Fr. Peter Popoola with a final blessing by His Grace.
