AICWO Honours Outstanding Executive Members at Annual Gathering

The Archdiocese of Ibadan Catholic Women Organization (AICWO) held its Annual General Meeting and End-of-Year Party on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at St. Kizito Catholic Church, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan. Women from across the Archdiocese gathered for a day of fellowship, reflection, and celebration.

 

The event commenced with Holy Mass, celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Gregory Oyelami, Parish Priest and Vicar General of the Ibadan Archdiocese. In his homily, Fr. Oyelami emphasized the importance of humility, urging women to cultivate a spirit of kindness, apology, and gratitude in all aspects of life.

 

AICWO President, Lady Clara Yemi Oke, expressed gratitude to the Archbishop, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin for his paternal guidance and support. She also thanked Vicar General, Fr. Oyelami and the women of the Archdiocese for their dedication.

 

The highlight of the event was the recognition of three outstanding AICWO Executive Members for their exceptional service. They are: Amb. (Mrs.) Edith Isidahomen - Most Outstanding/Active CWO Executive; Mrs. Veronica Adeniran - Supporting Executive and Mrs. Lucia Egunjobi - Supportive Executive. The awardees were honoured for their tireless efforts and commitment to the organization.

 

The day concluded with a general meeting, followed by music, dance, and merriment.

 

As the year 2024 comes to a close, AICWO members pray for God's continued protection and guidance in the years to come.
