  On August 16, 2026 St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan was agog during Youth Harvest celebration.  At the beginning of the harvest, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Abiodun Adeyemo welcomed all the attendees as usual. During the homily, he drew their attention to the readings of the day and ensured the pending harvest did not distract anyone.

   When it was harvest time, the Priest thanked God, the giver of life and source of everything that is good. This brought to everyone’s mind that the harvest should not be a mere showcase but an appreciation for what we have all received. Then, the Youth Vice President John Nwafor promised all that it would be done in a grand style and surely, so it was.

   Families were encouraged to make their generous support after which a beautiful and eloquent Quiz Competition on sacramental took place among the children.  The Church was agog as these young children surprised all and sundries including their parents. Ochokwunu Ochanya Divineblessing (11) and Mathew Joshua Adankole (10) emerged as winners.

At the end of the harvest, the Vice President of the Youth, John Nwafor thanked all and sundry for their presence and contributions. Everyone present enjoyed unexpected refreshment before the Catechist, James Ayodele Akinmoladun led the dismissal prayer.  It was really a day of joy for the wonderful family of St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan. We give all the glory to God!
