Mrs. Nkwocha Uchenna, President of the Catholic Women Organization of Nigeria (CWON) at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Iganmode Road, Ota, Ogun State, has unveiled her strategic agenda for the organization in 2026. She shared these plans during the organization's final meeting for 2025, held on Sunday, December 20, 2025, at the Church premises.
At the forefront of her agenda is the deepening of the spiritual lives of every woman in the parish. This spiritual focus will be complemented by initiatives aimed at capacity building and leadership formation. Key activities planned include organizing leadership and skill development workshops and mentoring young women to prepare them for future leadership roles within the church and society.
Mrs. Nkwocha also emphasized her commitment to fostering discipline, accountability, and teamwork at all organizational levels to ensure continuity and effective leadership. She highlighted that these efforts are designed to promote unity and collaboration, underscoring the belief that “unity is our strength.”
During the meeting, Mrs. Nkwocha referred to the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is present at every CWON gathering. She explained that the statue symbolizes the ideal Christian woman, embodying humility, obedience, purity, courage, and complete surrender to God. “Her presence at our meetings inspires us to live lives of faith, integrity, and service within our families, church, and society,” she said.

This is good.
