The news of the demise of Pa Kufile 83, was received on Sunday 12th October, 2025. Late Pa Kufile was among the 5 founding families of St. Francis Catholic Church (in Agbamu then but later established at Sanyo-Soka along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He was always available at Mass until his health started to fail him. Though he lived at Oke-Ode, Sanyo extension and worked in Ibadan for many years, he is from Ododeyo Ijebu North East, Ijebu Ode where he was laid to rest on 13th October, 2025.

    During his Memorial Mass, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Adeyemo in his homily said that Pa Kufile had so much faith in God and love for Holy Mass that even before he departed, he would attempt to come to Church but his health would not let him. Though the Priest goes to him during communion drive that at times Baba would call him outside his slated time to administer communion to him and he would obliged and that would make Baba joyful. The priest encouraged the parishioners to celebrate Baba rather than morn him because of the way he lived. He also encouraged them to pray for the dead and those in purgatory often.

    Those Baba left behind: his wife, children and great-grandchildren all admitted the fact that Baba was a good father, calm, friendly with all, and  loved all. According to his first son, Segun Kufile, before he departed, Baba said to them, “LET PEACE REIGN. MAKE YOURSELVES AS ONE FAMILY!”

    May his gentle soul rest in peace in Jesus’ Name! Amen.
