Students of Maryland Catholic Grammar School, Ogbomoso, have paid a condolence visit to the Bishop of Oyo Diocese, Most Rev. Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo, over the passing of the Emeritus Bishop, Most Rev. Julius Babatunde Adelakun.

The students who were accompanied by their Principal, Rev. Fr. Boniface Wuraola, Rev. Fr. JohnPaul Olaniran and one of the school's teachers expressed deep sorrow and gratitude for the life and service of the late Bishop, describing him as a fatherly, friendly, and inspiring leader who impacted both the Church and the youth.

Miss Stella Akinyoola Ajibola, Senior Prefect Girl of the school, recalled Bishop Adelakun’s previous visit to their school and spoke warmly about his simplicity and kindness. She said Bishop Adelakun was a nice and friendly father who showed warmth and humility when he visited the school. She expressed the love and appreciation of the students and prayed that his soul rests in perfect peace.

Similarly, Master Adebiyi David Adekunle, Senior Prefect Boy of the school, described the late Bishop as a humble and caring leader who left a strong example for young people to follow. He said that although he did not know the bishop deeply, he remembered him as kind and humble, and offered prayers for his peaceful rest.

The students also offered prayers for the Diocese of Oyo and for Bishop Emmanuel Badejo, asking God to strengthen the Church and grant eternal rest to the soul of the late Bishop Adelakun.
