FNPS Celebrates Feast Day & Teachers’ Day
Sr. Elizabeth OTENAIKE, OSF
It was a joyful occasion at Franciscan Nursery and Primary School, Igangan on Monday, 6th October 2025, as the School celebrated its Feast Day alongside Teachers’ Day. The celebration was held in thanksgiving to God through the intercession of the School’s Patron, St. Francis of Assisi, for the continuous growth and blessings upon the institution.
Although the official Feast Day and Teachers’ Day fell on Saturday and Sunday respectively, the pupils joyfully chose to mark the occasion on Monday. They honored their teachers with various gestures of appreciation, highlighting the invaluable role that teachers play in society.
The presentation was led by the Head Boy, Augustine Oladapo, and Head Girl, Magdalene Alapode, supported by the Prefects. In addition, the School Management, made up of Frs. Victor Ugbor, Callistus Afolabi, and Sr. Elizabeth Marie Otenaike, OSF expressed their gratitude to the teachers by presenting them with gifts.
Teachers are not merely facilitators of academic learning; they are mentors and nation - builders who shape the future of individuals and society at large.
