The Catholic Diocese of Ekiti has announced the death of the Diocese’s Bishop Emeritus, Most Rev. Michael Olatunji Fagun through a release signed by the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Fr Kehinde Temitope Ajayi titled: “GLORIOUS EXIT OF COD'S SERVANT, MOST REV. MICHAEL OLATUNJI FAGUN.”

The release stated that “Most Rev. Michael Olatunji Fagun, aged 90, the Bishop Emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti, was called to etemal Home in the late hours of Monday, 13th October, 2025.

Born on 17th April, 1935, he was ordained a Priest on 4 July, 1965 and consecrated as Bishop on 10th October, 1971. To God be all the glory for all his services to God in the Catholic Church and humanity. May God grant him eternal life.”

 

The release added that Funeral arrangement will be communicated later as it sought for prayer for the happy repose of the Late Bishop Emeritus’ soul.
