Parish Laity Council of St. Michael Idi - Ayunre election took place on Sunday 21st of September, 2025. The election which was conducted by the Oke-Ado Deanery President, Mr Francis Ayanjompe; Deanery Secretary, Prince Aderemi Odogiyan and Archdiocesan Laity representative, Mr. Callistus Molokwu. The various positions to be elected to were zoned to different outstations under the parish.

 

After the election the following people were elected into various position: President - Mr. Festus Alademomi; Vice President - Mrs Mary Ogbeche; General Secretary - Mr David Omotayo; Treasurer - Mrs Pauline Afolayan; PRO - Mr Mathias Adekpe; and Provost - Mr Gabriel Togbeve.

The post of Assistant General Secretary and Financial Secretary will be elected later by the new Excos.

 

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Laity President, Mr.

Festus Alademomi thanked and gave glory to

Almighty God for peaceful election. He also appreciated his predecessor for good work she has done while she was the president. He also sought for cooperation of the Parish Laity for better development in the Parish. After the election a group photograph of newly elected Excos was taken with the

Parish Priest, Oke Ado Deanery executives and Archdiocesan Laity representatives.

 

The inauguration of the new Excos was on Sunday 5th of October, 2025. During the Mass, the Parish Priest who is also the Dean of Oke - Ado Deanery advised the new Excos to work for the progress of the Church and for the parishioners to always remember them in their prayers.
