A private school, Great Inheritance and A4 Vanguard College, situated at Plot 8, teacher’s Quarters, Bioku Alaadun, Amuloko, Ibadan has celebrated end of academic session and graduation ceremony of the school.

The celebration, which was the eleventh of its kind was held on Wednesday, 6th August 2025 in the school’s premises amidst funfair of all kinds and was chaired by Sediq Adigun, while Mrs Omobola Oseni of Prince FM was the MC at the celebration.

In her welcome address, the Proprietor of the school, Comrade Alademerin Popoola Fausat welcomed the parents, guardians, invited guests, school’s members of staff and the students to the occasion at which the school graduated Nur 3, Pri 5, JSS3 and SSS3 students.

She analyzed the school’s achievements thus: “Now let's talk about our growth and milestones. Because this year has been nothing short of remarkable!

First, we celebrate a historic achievement for the very first time, our school received official approval to conduct the Basic Education Certificate Exanimation (BECE) right within our walls! And guess what? The graduating JSS3 students we are celebrating today are our first-ever BECE set! What a beginning!

“Secondly, walk through our school and you'll see the transformation. We've gone through a beautiful phase of renovation that has elevated the learning environment to a new level. A brand-new Computer Room for digital literacy, a fully-equipped Multipurpose Science Laboratory for our junior and Senior Secondary School students, a Home Economics Lab, four active toilets for proper hygiene, a newly painted fence, and our walls are now bursting with academic charts and educational visuals because we believe learning starts with what we see.

“Thirdly, we are happy to announce that this was our first year training students for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams as we now have a JAMB tutorial Centre at the A4 Vanguard College. Every single student we trained passed regardless of how high the failure percentage was this year. Among them was our best student, Babalola Francis, who scored an outstanding 278. Others followed closely with scores like 256, 230, 226, and 195. Excellence truly lives here.

“To all our teachers, your dedication is the bedrock of these successes. Your lesson plans, corrections, encouragements, and discipline have produced results we can all be proud of. Thank you for not just teaching, but shaping lives.

“To our amazing students, we see you, we celebrate your hard work, your resilience, your brilliance, and the way you wear our school badge with pride. You are the reason we do all that we do, and we are so proud of the future you're stepping into.”

Prayers were offered for the graduating students in different categories and testimonial presented to them thereafter.

The students entertained the gathering with songs, cultural dance, chorography and words of exhortation by JSS3 pupils on false promotion and effects of social media in the society, music and food/drinks.

The Proprietor appreciated everyone and also brought to the notice of the parents some changes that are coming on board as far as education is concerned in the country, in order not to be caught unaware, while she also appealed to all to make known the college as admission process into various classes is already on.
