Trinity is Biblical Says Fr Adeyemi as he Visions 25 Years in Priesthood

The Parish Priest, SS Peter & Paul Pro—Cathedral, Lagere, Ile-Ife; Rev. Fr. Dr. Peter Oluseyi Adeyemi has encouraged Christians to emulate God in unity with other humans. This admonition relates with his expanded teaching on Trinity Sunday as he succinctly elucidated controversies surrounding the unification of three despite oneness.
Some of his focal points reflected on need for Christians to resemble God in all manner as God is truly the father of all Christians, unlike those who promote their god of violence through riffle and Ak-47 weapons. For Catholics especially, he reminded that the wisdom of God co-existed with the father before the world came into existence. Having asserted the doctrinal point of Trinity in relation to Catholicism, he explained further that the unity of God in the trinity is what Christians are called to project.
While he realized that explaining in few minutes on a Sunday, 13 weeks (whole semester course) at about the 6th year in the seminary - focusing on the Theology of God may not be easily comprehensible, it is illogical to assert that its reality is unbiblical according to him. For the uninformed, he stated that proof of Trinity in contained through the scriptures - from Genesis to Revelation. Fr. Adeyemi encouraged Christians to centre their holiness on God and not on presumed holiness of the preachers of God’s words. Vindictive persons, revenge takers - those who pay evil for evil are categories of human he considered as possessing semblance of the god they serve.
He further notified Christians that anything short of God’s semblance may be compared to an illegitimate child as it relates to the principles of incarnation. Fr. Peter Adeyemi will however clock 25 years in priesthood next month, alongside Frs: Martins Obiyemi and Stephen Olowolagba; who are aspiring celebrants hoping to join the list of four that marked their silver jubilee last year, comes July.
