ST. ANTHONY SOCIETY OTA, CELEBRATES FEAST DAY
Fidelis ENWEMEKA
Devotees and friends of St. Anthony Society of St. Peter Catholic Church Iganmode Road, Ota Abeokuta Diocese in Ogun State, celebrated the Feast Day of their Patron Saint on Friday, June 13, 2025.
In their usual way of celebrating their Patron Saint, members of the society visited the Ijamido Orphanage Home along Ilo Awela Road, Ota, and thereafter went into the town to distribute St. Anthony's Bread.
According to the immediate past coordinator of the society, Mr. Chukwuma Chisom, the society, whose membership strength is now 54, derives joy in sharing their resources with the less privileged “especially on a day like this”. So, it was not out of place for them to visit some groups of Beggars under the popular Sango Ota Bridge to share the Saint Anthony's Bread and other items with them. Mr. Emmanuel Dialeme is the new coordinator of the Society.
