Friends, Happy Easter!!!

 Alleluia‼️ Alleluia‼️ Alleluia!!! ‼️

In the last 40 days, we have journeyed and sorrowed with the Lord in the wilderness and during His passion. However, through the grace of the Almighty, we have made it to the finishing line.

On Ash Wednesday, the journey seems daunting, but here we are today. Glory be to God on high and on earth peace to people of goodwill. May the joy of Easter abide with us all. Amen!

The joy of Easter originates from Jesus Christ’s Resurrection, which is core to our Christian faith, signifying the victory of Christ over sin and death while giving humanity renewed life and hope. The Resurrection is the summit of the truth of our faith in Christ; it marks the fulfilment of God’s promises. Without Christ’s Resurrection, Christianity would be meaningless, and the mission of the Church would be devoid of impulse.

At Easter, we celebrate this mystery as a Church with its joy resounding to the following days while we sing alleluia for Christ’s triumph over evil and death and his redemption of humanity.

His death and resurrection brought us freedom from sin and gave us access to a new life. Through baptism, as Christians, we are immersed in the death and resurrection of Christ and, through the sacrament, get absorbed into Him, partaking in the life of the risen Christ.

In St Augustine’s words, “just as His passion stood for our old life, his Resurrection is a sacrament of new life… the old life is dead, killed on the Cross, buried in Baptism…the new life emerges.”

During this season of Easter, endeavour to renew your faith and seize the opportunity to rediscover the sources of faith and the presence of the Risen One. It is also a good time to live in the ‘Paschal mode,’ where we witness daily to the joy of the Risen Lord and permit the Good News to reverberate through our actions.

Further, we can use the season of Easter to conquer uncertainty using the Scriptures, declaring that Jesus is alive until eternity to give believers new life.

The Resurrection transcends merely past events. It brings a new lease of life to the world for eternal life. The life of the eyewitnesses was changed by it, and with faith, it has been accepted for generations who continue to bear witness to it, usually at a costly price of their blood, but with the knowledge that it is through this martyrdom they would enter into a new dimension of life. Christ’s death has a positive impact on Christians because life is changed and not ended with an eternal abode made ready in heaven.
