“Embracing Time and Kindness: Bishop Badejo’s Inspiring Lenten Message to NFCSer”

On the second Sunday of Lent, Most Rev. Emmanuel Badejo, the Catholic Bishop of Oyo Diocese, delivered a powerful homily at St. Augustine Catholic Chaplaincy, Oyo, urging students to reflect on the theme, “Time waits for no one.”

Bishop Badejo emphasized the importance of using time wisely, stressing the need to foster kindness, even toward those we may consider enemies. He encouraged the NFCSer to stay positive in all endeavors and never lose hope, regardless of the challenges they face. The Bishop called on the students to actively seek the good in others and perform acts of kindness, highlighting that building meaningful relationships and nurturing personal growth are essential to living a fulfilled life.

In his message, Bishop Badejo also urged the students to pray for their country, Nigeria, and challenged them to serve from a young age, reminding them that positive change begins with them. He encouraged them to be agents of transformation and always maintain an optimistic attitude in every situation.

Furthermore, Bishop Badejo stressed the significance of practicing gratitude, appreciating life’s blessings, and caring for one’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He urged the NFCSer to forgive easily, let go of grudges, and move forward with love, kindness, and understanding.

As the season of Lent continues, Bishop Badejo reminded everyone that time is a precious gift, and it should not be wasted on negativity. Instead, he encouraged the NFCSer and all present to focus on living purposefully, making the most of every moment by staying true to their faith and values.
