As part of their Lenten observance, the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), St. Martin De Porres, Ajobo, paid a heartfelt visit to inmates at Agodi Correctional Centre on March 8, 2025. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Justice, Development, and Peace Commission (JDPC) Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan and the Center’s Welfare Unit, aimed to uplift the inmates' spirits through charity, encouragement, and prayer.

The visitors were warmly received by both Inmates and Correctional Officers. The youths shared a message of hope, urging the inmates to remain optimistic and view their time in detention as an opportunity for reflection and transformation. They reminded them that a brighter future is still within reach.

In the spirit of compassion and solidarity, the delegation also presented essential items, including snacks, detergents, toothpaste, and slippers, to support the inmates' well-being. The visit reinforced the values of kindness, renewal, and second chances, embodying the true essence of the Lenten season.
