THERE IS WISDOM IN SILENCE, CLERIC REMINDS CHRISTIANS.

As the Lenten season begins, Catholic faithful have been reminded of the need to do away with noise at this moment for there is power in silence. “The Church put before us this last Sunday before Lenten Season something that is important, silence. The noise is much in the world. Likewise, our hearts are full of noise.”

According to the parish priest of St. Anne, Ogbere, Ibadan, “when you keep silent, you will know more. Serious students are always silent and it is the same in Christian’s life too.”

The priest added that the Gospel reading of 8th Sunday, (Luke 6:39-45) no wonder urged all to see the faults in one’s life before pointing accusing fingers at another person. He admonished Christians to be like water that looks ordinary but is needed by everyone. Think of what is needed in their communities and provide solution to those needs rather than complaining or waiting for the government.
