On the 16th of February 2025, the Archdiocesan Laity Representatives, Mr. Senaya Simon and Calistus Molokwu were sent to St. Theresa Awotan to witness the election of its Laity Executives. The Parish Priest Fr. Claudius Uwaoma welcomed the representatives to the Parish and prayed for the success of the exercise.

Immediately after the Mass, the business of the day commenced with the Archdiocesan Laity Rep. conducting the election. The following emerged as officers of the first Parish Laity Council of St. Theresa’s Awotan.

Mr Evans Ekeoba - President; Mrs Janet Oladokun - Vice President; Mrs Victoria Ogundiran – Secretary; Miss Damilola Adio -    Ass Secretary; Mrs Empress Yamah -    Treasurer; Mr Chris Leo-Ali - Fin. Secretary; Mrs Charity Odewusi – PRO and Mrs Dorothy Ukaonu – Provost.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Mr Evans Ekeoba promised to work with his team in moving the Lay Faithful of the Parish forward, both spiritually and physically.
