This beatitude calls us to be forgiving when other peoples’ actions hurt us and to ask forgiveness when we hurt others.

It also urges us to show sympathy, patience, forgiveness, tolerance and understanding to others.

Those who show kindness and are helpful to others, their deeds of mercy attract to them and forgiveness from God.
