Humility and Secrecy in Christian Giving

To be wealthy is not by one’s power, hard work, strength, connections, or influence, but by the grace of God. God alone holds the key to human success. He knows the path to prosperity and blesses each person according to His divine will.

Even before we were created, God had already planned our destinies. As true Christians, we must acknowledge that wealth is a gift from God and should be used wisely, especially in service to Him.

When contributing to the Church—whether by building the house of God, donating, or supporting its growth—such acts should be done in humility and secrecy. Publicizing charitable acts for recognition diminishes their spiritual value. God, who sees our deeds in secret, will reward us openly.

Seeking human praise negates divine blessings; true generosity should stem from a sincere heart, not for personal validation. Let your achievements speak for themselves rather than announcing them.

Everything we possess is given by God, and whatever we do for His Church should be for His glory, not to gain human approval or impress priests and fellow believers.

Being influential in the Church or society does not grant the right to intimidate others or lord it over them. True leadership is rooted in humility and service. Likewise, priests and spiritual leaders should be treated with respect, as their role is sacred. Using harsh or abusive words against them, especially in public, is disgraceful and unworthy of a true Christian.

No matter the disagreement, conflicts within the Church should be resolved with wisdom and peace, rather than through public arguments that tarnish the image of the faith. We are all learners on a journey of growth, and perfection belongs to God alone.

Wealth, power, and status are temporary, but our deeds will follow us into eternity. Life is not about saying, “I have it all,” or “I have power over you,” because the future is uncertain, and all things eventually come to an end.

Therefore, we must be mindful of how we treat others, regardless of our position in society. Before God, we are all equal, and only righteousness will stand the test of time. Let the character of a true Christian reflect in you at all times—through humility, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to God’s will.
