CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC PARISH, ISOKUN, OYO INAUGURATES NEW CATHOLIC WOMEN ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA(CWON) LEADERSHIP

The Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria of Christ the King Catholic Parish inaugurated a new executive after the expiration of the previous administration led by Mrs Helen Olawoore. The inauguration was held on Sunday, 3rd November, 2024 at the Parish.

 

In the farewell speech of the former President, she expressed her joy and appreciation to God Almighty for standing by her team throughout their tenure. She also expressed her passionate appreciation to the Parish Priests, Very Rev. Fr. Boniface Wuraola and his assistant, Fr. John Irekiigbe for their tolerance and regular firm supports. 

In the emotional farewell message of the outgone Secretary, Mrs Roseline Olusanya, she appreciated every member of the Organisation, all the parishioners and the Priests for the passionate support extended to the team and particularly for the encouragement she received while acting in the space of the President. She equally encouraged the new leadership to be focused and dedicated to the task ahead. 

The former treasurer, Mrs Anthonia Onimisi also gave her appreciation to the Church for the support received during their service and urged the new team to stand as one and be prayerful.

In the words of the incumbent President, Mrs Adejoke Ojo, she appreciated the Organisation for the opportunity granted to her and her newly inaugurated executive members to serve. She promised that they will also make every effort to ensure that the Organisation keeps progressing. She appreciated the Priests and all other organisations in the church and requested their further support to the Women Organisation. 

The introduction of other executive members was also done; the Vice President, Mrs Caroline Adedeji; the Secretary, Mrs Grace Onwe; the Assistant Secretary, Mrs Oshin; the treasurer, Mrs Esther Orodiran and the Financial Secretary, Mrs Dupe Gidado.

The inauguration was rounded off with words of advice by the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Boniface Wuraola. He charged the new leadership to be dedicated and to embrace the spirit of love among one another at all times.
