Hon. Oluremi Oseni Commends IBCYON Leadership.
Jacob BABALOLA (Staff Writer)
Honourable Oluremi Oseni has commended the leadership of Ibadan Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria for its efforts in empowering the youths in the Archdiocese and making them to become useful in the society. The All Progressive Congress Candidate for the Oyo South Senatorial District Seat in the coming 2027 General Elections gave the commendation through a post in his Facebook handle on Sunday.
The post reads thus:
“I had the honour of attending the 2026 Harvest of Gratitude Luncheon and Fundraising organized by the Ibadan Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (IBCYON), under the chaplaincy of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Eseola, at the Seat of Wisdom, University of Ibadan, on Sunday, 27th September, 2026.
It was a beautiful gathering, but beyond the celebration, what stood out for me was the purpose behind it - investing in young people and helping them prepare for the future.
The programme brought together young leaders from different parishes and deaneries across the Archdiocese, many of whom are students of universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
Through entrepreneurship, vocational skills, leadership training and other forms of empowerment, the Church is helping these young people discover their potential and become useful to themselves and society.
I believe strongly that when we invest in our young people, we are investing in the future of our communities.
That is why I was pleased to support this laudable initiative with ₦25 million through my Foundation as my own contribution towards the development and empowerment of these young minds.
I commend the IBCYON leadership, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Eseola and everyone behind this initiative for their commitment to raising responsible and capable young leaders.
There is still much to be done, but with collective effort, compassion and a commitment to service, we can make a real difference.
Together, we are building the Oyo South that works for all.
God First. Service Always.”
It would be recalled that the Distinguished Honourable Oluremi Abas Oseni had attended the first AICMO Convention held at SS. Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija, and the AICWO new executives inauguration Mass, held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Odo-Ona, Ibadan, recently and also supported both organizations morally and financially before his latest presence and support for the IBCYON.
