On August 22, 2026, the Holy Mass for the Matrimonial Union for Ezekiel Oluremi Dopamu and Pascaline Sesede Pogbe was celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Itoga Zanimu, Badagry, Lagos. The Wedding Mass was however preceded by the traditional engagement ceremony at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Olusegun Pogbe at Itoga. The families of the Bride and the Bridegroom, came together to joyfully celebrate the traditional wedding ceremony.

   The Mass which was co-celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mathew Adeleke (the Chief Celebrant) Parish Priest of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Badagry with Very Rev. Fr. Nugbode, Parish Priest of Holy Family Catholic Church, Ajara Lagos started by 11.15am with many in attendance.

The Wedding Sponsors were Sir Edward and Lady Elizabeth Okoro KSJ. As many as seven Catechists were in the Sanctuary because the father of the Bride is a Catechist in Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos.

    The Homilist Very Rev. Fr. Matthew Nugbode said, “God is inside marriage. God communicates with His people always. So, listen to God always. Marriage is a companionship that would lead couple to eternal life. Both husband and wife are equal before God. They must both respect each other. If both understand that their lives are in the hands of each other, they will live long. To serve God is to follow the means that God has created or directed.  In the whole world, no other person will be like your spouse. Let your society be with justice and reality. Do not provoke one another. Rather, be patient against all odds. “There will be tensions and quarrels but with patience and prayer, all will be well. God has called you to holiness. Do not be afraid! When you are tired, run to God to renew your strength.  Couples should discuss together at all times. Don’t find solace in communicating with other persons other than your spouse. No ex or besty! A new life has begun. Peace will be your portion.”

     Pascaline Sesede has been a functional member of the Choir in St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka Ibadan in Oyo State. Hence, many members of St. Francis Wonderful Family were in attendance at this wedding ceremony in far away Badagry, Lagos State. Both the attendees from Ibadan and Lagos unanimously agreed that this wedding is unique and prayed for the blessings on the newest couple as they departed from the scene. So shall it be in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen and Amen!
