    August 14, 2026 is now a special day in the lives of Babatunde Olasoji Stephen and Fakunle Alaba Mary (both from Emure Ekiti) as they joined in Holy Matrimony at St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan.

     The Wedding Mass started with the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Adeyemo welcoming all attendees with a special reference to the newest Couple to be and their sponsors. While the ceremony was ongoing, the Priest reminded all and sundry that Holy Matrimony is among the seven sacraments of the Church.

   He said further that “Marriage is about service; the primary aim in marriage. No marriage is perfect but how you manage your marriage matters much. Don’t keep malice in mind so it will not expand and crack your wall. Rather, let there be openness and constant communications. Dear sponsors, you are also expected to monitor, help and guide them in the right direction to enable them have a successful union.”

     At the end of the ceremony, everybody was rejoicing and smiling after photographs and individual expressions of goodwill mesages to them. May the Holy Family counsel and keep watch over this newest Couple in their midst in Jesus’ Mighty Name!
