Bro. Babatunde OBALANA FTA, KSM.

Friday 15th May, 2026, history was made in the City of Ibadan. The Supreme Knight arrived Ibadan via the Ibadan Airport at Alakia. He was warmly received by a powerful delegation ably led by the wMGK, Engr. Sir. Ajibade Lucas Ijasan FNSE, KSM, The wDMGK- Sir Dr. Nicholas Dosumu KSM, Ph D., The wIPMGK, Sir William Otoba KSM, The Co-Ordinating GK of Ibadan & GK of Oluyole Sub- Council, wBrother Jude Oduah KSM, the wIPCGK- Sir Anthony Adejinle KSM and pool of wBrothers & Ladies for the 4th Degree Investiture.

 

The wSK, whose plane touched down at the Airport at 1:05pm alighted from an Air Peace Aircraft. He was accompanied by wBro. Peter Onoja from Abuja. They were warmly received by the wMGK, Sir Ijasan, and were serenaded with a short first class cultural performance that had a saxophonist, drummers, and dancers all attired on white laces sparkling white apparels.

 

Garlands were presented to the SK and the brother that was on his entourage. Immediately after the Airport Reception, the delegation moved to the Bishop's House in Oyo for a courtesy call. The delegation was warmly received by the Supreme Advocate, Sir Titus Ashaolu SAN, KSM, the Co-ordinator for the proposed Oyo Sub- Council & G.K of Ibadan Sub- Council, Sir Dr. Theophilus Ajobiewe KSM, Noble Lady Anthonia Ajobiewe LSM and a host of worthy Brothers & Sisters of our honoured order. (As reported in the Catholic Weekly Independent of 24th May, 2026).

 

From Oyo, the SK paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Supreme Chancellor, Sir Francis Ogini KSM, who passed on a couple of weeks earlier. The SK made a cash presentation to the wife of the former MGK Sir Ogini.

 

From there, the delegation moved to the residence of the Emeritus Archbishop of Ibadan, Most Rev. Dr. Felix Alaba Job in Oke-Ado.  After the warm pleasantries and introductions, the SK thanked the Emeritus Archbishop for all he had done and is still doing for the Order. The SK noted that His Grace was aging gracefully and he has always shared his rich bag of wisdom with his predecessors who had called on him. The Archbishop, who was equally grateful for the visit, prayed for the continuous growth of the Order. The SK made a presentation to the Archbishop. The meeting ended with photographs.

 

Finally, the SK and all the members of his entourage were treated to a sumptuous dinner by the family of Dr. Osho and Dr. Dosumu.

 

The investiture and admission ceremony for the 4th Degree took place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oke-Ado on 16th May 2026.

With gratitude to God for a lovely outing in Ibadan, the wSK, Sir Steve Adehi SAN, CKSM, KCSS departed for Abuja on 18th May, 2026 via the Ibadan International Airport, Alakia.

He was seen off at the Airport by the wMGK- Engr. Sir Ajibade Lucas Ijasan FNSE, KSM; the wDMGK Sir. Dr. Nicholas Dosumu KSM, and his amiable wife, Lady Dosumu and the Chairman of the planning Committee for the "Ibadan 10", Sir (Dr.) & Lady Osho.
