The Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan celebrated with joy as three seminarians and two deacons participated in a joint Philosophy convocation ceremony held on 29th April 2026 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Major Seminary, Bodija, Ibadan. The occasion marked an important milestone in the intellectual and spiritual formation of the candidates for the priesthood.

The joint convocation ceremony was attended by the Archbishop and Archbishop Emeritus of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan, alongside priests, formators, family members, and well-wishers. Representatives of the University of Ibadan were also present to lead the programme, reflecting the academic affiliation between SS Peter and Paul Catholic Major Seminary and the University. The occasion celebrated the academic achievements of the three seminarians and two deacons, while underscoring the importance of philosophical formation as a vital foundation for priestly life, intellectual growth, and future pastoral ministry in the Church.
