A Life of Faith and Service: Lady Pauline Nkem Ogundipe Laid to Rest

Lady (Olori) Pauline Nkem Ogundipe, wife of Sir Prince Dominic Ogundipe (KSM), was laid to rest following her passing on Holy Thursday, 2026, at the age of 62. Her death marked the end of a life deeply rooted in faith, service, and devotion to the Catholic Church.

 

On Friday, April 24, 2026, a solemn requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Iganmode Road, Ota, within the Abeokuta Diocese. The liturgy was presided over by His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Olukayode Odetoyinbo, Bishop of the Diocese, who served as Chief Celebrant. He was joined by 24 priests from across the diocese, who concelebrated the Mass in honor of Lady Pauline’s memory.

 

In his homily, Rev. Father Francis Diyaolu, Parish Priest of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lemon, Ijoko, Ota spoke warmly of Lady Pauline’s unwavering commitment to the Catholic faith. He described her as a woman of rare devotion, whose generosity of spirit and dedication to the Church left a lasting impact on the parishioners of St. Peter’s Parish, Ota. Her contributions, both in talent and resources, were instrumental in strengthening the parish community and advancing the mission of the Church.

 

Rev. Father Diyaolu emphasized that Lady Pauline’s life was a testimony to Christian values of humility, charity, and steadfastness. He assured her grieving husband, Sir Dominic, that her passing was not an end but a transition into eternal glory, a homecoming to the Lord she served so faithfully.

 

The requiem Mass was well attended by numerous parishioners of St. Peter's Parish, alongside 26 Priests, 7 Rev. Sisters and 2 Postulants from the Daughters of the Holy Spirit congregation and a large congregation. Her legacy, marked by faith and service, continues to inspire those who knew her.

 

Lady Pauline Nkem Ogundipe is remembered not only as a devoted wife and mother but also as a pillar of her parish and a beacon of Catholic values. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength to her family, her parish community, and the Diocese of Abeokuta.
