Christ the King Catholic Church, Odo-Ona Apata, joyfully celebrated Galilee Day with a special Holy Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic College, Akinyemi Ring Road. Fr. Emmanuel Ajewole's homily emphasized our mission to be living witnesses to Christ's Resurrection (Mt 28:8-15), challenging attendees to choose between clinging to sin or embracing the liberating truth.

 

Drawing parallels to Judas Iscariot's betrayal and soldiers’ bribing to deny the Resurrection, Fr. Ajewole questioned compromises made for worldly gains, asking: "How much can you be bribed to forsake eternal life in Jesus?" The celebration included heartfelt prayer, a thrilling CMO vs CWO football match, quiz competition, games, and moments of pure joy and laughter.

 

The event strengthened bonds and renewed faith, embodying the true spirit of Galilee Day.
