League of Lay Readers Elects New Executives at St. Gabriel Mokola

The League of Lay Readers of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mokola, Ibadan, successfully conducted its leadership election on Sunday, March 22, 2026, ushering in a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the association.
The election, which took place in a peaceful and well-organized atmosphere, was supervised by the Parish Pastoral Council Chairman, Mrs. Patricia Fadimu, who ensured a transparent and credible process.
At the end of the exercise, Mr. Raphael Faola emerged as President of the League. He will be supported by Miss Vivian Ali as Vice President. Miss Faustina Okorowu was elected as Secretary, while Miss Benedicta Felix will serve as Assistant Secretary.
Other members of the executive team include Mr. Donald Solomon as Treasurer, Miss Rita Ugu as Financial Secretary, and Miss Augusta Benedict as Public Relations Officer. Mrs. Mary Nsabe was also appointed as Ex-Officio member.
The newly elected executives are expected to provide accountability and administrative leadership to the League, promoting active participation in liturgical readings and strengthening the commitment of members to the service of the Church.
Members have expressed optimism that the new leadership will build on existing achievements and further enhance the role of lay readers within the parish community.
