4th General Chapter of University Sisters of Assumption.

Traditionally, members of institute of consecrated life are required by the universal law of the Church to gather at least once every six years, to evaluate how far they have been able to live both the spirituality and Apostolate and to elect new leaders.

Hence, the principal functions are to protect the patrimony of the institute and to foster appropriate renewal in accord with that patrimony. It also elects the supreme moderator, deals with matters of greater importance and issue norms which all are bound to obey. (Cf. Can.631#1).

The program started with a recollection which was moderated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Uchenna Cletus Amuh, a priest from Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) to dispose the mind of the chapter delegates for the spiritual exercise.
