It was jubilation galore as lay-faithful of St. Anne Parish, Ido with her Outstations organized and celebrated the 2025 Christmas Carol.

The Choirs of St. Anne Catholic Church, ldo and St Nicholas Catholic Church Elenusonso added colour to this year’s  Christmas Carol as they rendered interesting and soulful carol songs and hymns to the admiration of the parishioners

The Christmas Carol was at its peak when the Congregations of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus ( EHJ) and the Daughters of the Holy Spirit ( DHS) Sisters brought innovations and creativity in the form of DRAMA that depicts the Birth of Jesus coupled with inspiring and piercing carol hymns that called for repentance, preparation and waiting for the coming of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

In his brief but insightful message, the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Francis Oyetunji admonished the parishioners to celebrate the joy of Christmas with heart of forgiveness since Christmas is a season of light shining in ordinary places; a promise that darkness cannot win, a renewed spirit from weary minds.

It is a FAITH that is made visible

Rev. Fr. Francis Oyetunji thanked every lay faithful present and advised the YOUTHS to tap and harness the OPPORTUNITIES within the environment they find themselves.

“Make yourselves available to be useful to yourselves and to the society,” he declared.

The vote of thanks was given by St. Anne Parish, Ido CYON President, Mr Chinedu Friday while the Parish Priest gave the blessing after the closing prayer said by a Reverend Sister.

The programme was anchored by Catechist Theophilus.
