Lady Mercy Irabor Emerges District 24 Respected President

A new chapter has opened in the newly carved-out District 24 of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI), Ladies Auxiliary, as Lady Mercy Irabor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Ladies Auxiliary 811, Osogbo, emerged the District’s new Respected President.

 

Lady Irabor will lead the district for the next four years alongside other elected officers. They include Noble Sister Adesoba Christiana of Our Lady Gate of Heaven Ladies Auxiliary 427, Ilorin, as First Vice President, and Sister Korie Jane Chioma of Our Lady Queen of Virgins Ladies Auxiliary 424, Ibadan, as Second Vice President.

 

Sisters Akintayo Florence (Auxiliary 811, Osogbo) and Adeniyi Lucy (Auxiliary 427, Ilorin) were elected First and Second Trustees respectively, while Sister Oyefade Oluwatoyin of Auxiliary 811 emerged as Third Trustee.

 

The position of Recording and Correspondence Secretary went to Sister Fajugbagbe Anthonia of Our Lady Queen of Virgins Auxiliary 424, Ibadan. Sister Oye Margaret of Auxiliary 427, Ilorin, was elected Financial Secretary, while Sister Mac-nworin Mabel of Auxiliary 424, Ibadan, emerged Treasurer. Sister Adeniyi Folu of Osogbo was elected Junior Director.

 

Presiding over the election, Lady Ogunsina, First Vice President of the Ibadan Grand Commandery, congratulated the new officers and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by serving with integrity and commitment.

 

Responding on behalf of the new executive team, Lady Mercy Irabor called for prayers and support from all members, noting that only through unity and dedication can the Ancient Order be elevated to greater heights.

 

The Ibadan Grand Commandery of the Knights of St. John International comprises Districts 20 and 24. While District 20 has its headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, District 24 headquartered in Ibadan oversees Auxiliaries under the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan as well as the Catholic Dioceses of Osogbo and Ilorin.
