The Catholic Diocese of Oyo has announced the burial arrangement for the late Bishop Emeritus of Oyo, Most Rev. Julius Babatunde Adelakun via a statement signed by the Pastoral Secretary of the Diocese, Rev. Fr. Benjamin O. Jolasun.

The statement read thus:

“With profound gratitude to Almighty God for an impactful life, the Catholic Diocese of Oyo announces the funeral arrangements for Most Rev. Julius Babatunde Adelakun, bishop emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, who transited into glory in Oyo on Friday October 24, 2025 at the age of 91. Bishop Adelakun was born on November 4, 1934 and was ordained a catholic priest on June 27, 1965. He was consecrated bishop on February 11, 1973. We pray that God grant him the eternal reward of the saints in heaven. Amen.
