Ibadan Sets For Lay Apostolate Harvest

All is now set for Ibadan Lay Apostolate Harvest which is scheduled to take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Basorun Ibadan, on Saturday, 12th July, 2025.
According to a statement from the Public Relation Officer of Ibadan Catholic Archdiocesan Laity Council, Beatrice Adigun, everything has been put in place towards the successful celebration of the 2025 Laity Harvest.
The Harvest Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated by the Archbishop of Ibadan Archdiocese, Most Rev. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin at 10.00 am and will be followed by other activities for the day.
Parishes are enjoined to mobilize their parishioners by sending at least fifty (50) members from each parish. The harvest brochure will be launched at every parish on Sunday, 6th July, 2025, in respect to that. All parish Presidents are to ensure that the launching is well carried out in their respective Parishes and remit the amount realized to the Council’s account.

As part of the arrangement for the day, there will be stands for food vendors, and interested vendors shall pay a token amount of Ten thousand naira (10,000). Parishes are also implored to patronize the available vendors at affordable prices. For the bazaar, parishes are being reminded to bring the items allocated to them for the bazaar sales. Lay faithful are also encouraged to stay behind after Mass for the bazaar to purchase food and bazaar items.
On the issue of security, provisions have been made for vehicles to be parked at St. Patrick Grammar School open-field, Basorun. Tags will also be made available for incoming vehicles, with the availability of the Parish Security team as well as Para-Military. Stand-by-vehicles will also be made available in case of any misconduct.
Furthermore, Priests from all the Parishes in the Archdiocese are expected to attend the celebration.
