Peter ESANMAH

On June 7th, 2025, the Young Christian Workers (YCW) of Holy Trinity Catholic Church Aba Panu brought joy to members of the Church through their YCW week which started on the 7th June, 2025 with rosary recitation, talk and lots more. On the 8th, June, 2025 (Pentecost Sunday), the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Stephen Udechukwu happily welcomed everyone and especially the YCW members of the Archdiocese to the parish during his sermon, which he started with a chorus "Come Holy Ghost Creator Come".

The priest stated that there were three festivals that were compulsory for the Jews: Feast of Passover - Exodus 12; Feast of Pentecost - Exodus 34:22, also known as the feast of harvest, and The feast of the Tabernacle or feast of the book- Exodus 23:15 and Numbers 29:12-14.

The priest said the apostles were drunk with the new wine because when they were filled with the Holy Spirit they began to carry out things unimaginable with the power of the Holy Spirit. He noted that Jesus did many things under the influence of the Holy Spirit and that Peter also encountered the Holy Spirit by converting 3000 people. The priest said opening to the Holy Spirit is connected to achieving great things.

The YCW had a thanksgiving for their successful week celebration and also invested their Patron, Mr. Lawrence Adesanmi and Patroness Mrs. Cecilia Komolafe and after the Mass there were series of tests conducted for the parishioners by the YCW, such as: Hapatitis B, HIV, High blood pressure, Blood sugar level and so on and drugs were administered to them accordingly.
