Noble Raphael Adeniyi Elected Chevalier Grand Master

A significant milestone in the history of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI) in Lagos and Ibadan was reached recently with the election of Noble Raphael Adeniyi as Grand Master of the Cardinal Okogie Chapter of Chevaliers (COCC).

The election, which took place at the Ascension Commandery of the Ancient Order in Ibadan, also ushered in a new slate of officers who will serve alongside with him: Noble Vincent Osondu – First Vice Grand Master; Noble Philip Nwawu – Second Vice Grand Master; Sir Chuks Nnalugha – Scribe; Noble Patrick Salubi – Financial Secretary; and Sir Philip Udunna – Treasurer.

Noble Raphael Adeniyi is not a stranger to leadership within the Order. He played a pioneering role in the establishment of Sacred Heart Commandery 888 of the KSJI in the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, where he served with distinction as Worthy President from 2018 to 2021.

His election as Grand Master is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the ideals of faith, charity, and service that define the Knights of St. John International.

In his acceptance speech, the new Grand Master said that he was deeply honored to be elected as Grand Master stressing to uphold the noble values of the Order—faith, charity, and service". According to him, “together, we shall continue to strengthen our spiritual foundation and serve our communities with humility and dedication.”

Noble Raphael Adeniyi has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the Church and the Order. His election is a blessing. There is an assurance that he will lead with wisdom, compassion, and integrity.

The Knights of St. John International (KSJI) as a Roman Catholic fraternal organization was founded in the 19th century to support the Church and promote faith, discipline, and charitable service. The Cardinal Okogie Chevalier Chapter named in honour of His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Okogie continues this mission through its vibrant network of committed Catholic men across Nigeria and beyond.

With Noble Raphael Adeniyi at the helm of affairs, the Cardinal Okogie Chapter and the wider Catholic community anticipate a renewed era of spiritual vitality and organizational excellence.
