Ibadan Laity Council Executive, Chaplain Hold Meeting with Parishes and Lay organizations, Issue Resolutions.

The Meeting of all Parish Laity Presidents and Lay Organizations with the members of Archdiocesan Laity Council Executive and the Chaplain, Very Rev. Fr. Paul Asawale took place on Saturday, 31st May, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oke-Ado. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss upcoming events, leadership development and collaborative efforts with the Archdiocesan Executive. At the end of the meeting, the following resolutions were made:

* Parish Laity Council shall be formed by both canonically erected and non-canonically erected societies.

* Archdiocesan Executive Council shall be formed by Presidents of Parishes, Deaneries and Lay organizations: CMO, CWO, and CYON (According to the constitution).

* All deaneries elections shall be held at the Seat of the Dean.

* Parishes and Lay organizations are to harmonize their programs with that of the Archdiocesan body to avoid clash of programs.

*Debtor Parishes should key into the debt-relief offer of the Archdiocesan Laity Council to offset their debts.

* Letters shall be written to Parishes and Lay Organizations for the submission of their program for the year 2026 on or before 26th October, 2025.

Parish Laity Council Presidents shall ensure prompt payment of their levies.

The laity shall be addressed as one body which comprises of three organs: CMO, CWO and CYON. Laity is not a separate entity.
