The Directorate of Religious Education, Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan call on Catholics in the Archdiocese to participate in the year 2026 Catechetical week between October 4, 2026 - October 11, 2026.

During the week we are reflecting on The One True God, lure to paganism: quest for auxillary gods, factors militating against worship of true God and the catechesis on the way forward.

Let us come together as Christ faithful to deliberate and focus on the road of faith in the midst of the distractions challenging our identity as Christians.

Meanwhile, Workshop for Pastoral Agents (Catechists and Sunday School Teachers in the Archdiocese of Ibadan) in preparation for the 2026 Catechetical Week Oct 4-11th has been held at St Christopher Catholic Church, Sango, Ibadan on Saturday, 12th September 2026. The theme of the Workshop: You shall have no other gods but me (Ex. 20:3). Towards a proper catechesis against new attraction to paganism was facilitated by the Parish Priest of St. Christopher, Sango, Rev. Fr. Victor Ogundipe, OP.
